Participants at our events are for ages 13 to 25.  If you are older or younger than this and still want to attend, contact us.  If you are over 25 or a youth leader, we may have some leadership opportunities for you.

Our activity organizers range in age from 15 to mid twenties, with a few adult mentors to provide additional assistance and guidance. That means that we are intentional in creating events that are fun for all our participants.  There is some activity variation to accommodate different ages.  As well, our older members often take on a leadership through example role and mentor the younger ages.

Many people attend our events not knowing anyone. We will quickly bring everyone together for introductions and activities that get everyone participating and getting to know one another. You will not be a stranger for long. Many people have made lifelong friends at our conferences.

Fall conferences are held at a church. Boys sleep in one area of the church while girls sleep in another. We have chaperones who supervise this. Sleeping arrangements at other events varies, but maintains that girls sleep in a separate location than boys. We will sleep on the floor, make sure to bring a foamy or air mattress, sleeping bag and pillow.

If you smoke, there will be a designated outdoor area, however, this cannot impact your participation. No alcohol or illegal substances are allowed at our events.  If you are found with either of these two things, you will be sent home immediately at your own expense. If you have a girlfriend/boyfriend/significant other at one of our events, we ask that you respect all our other participants and keep physical intimacy to what would be appropriate between friends. Any explicit sexual activity will result with you being sent home immediately at your own expense.

Transportation is included in the price of Fall Conference and is arranged from many areas of the province.  This usually consists of a bus stopping at strategic places on its way to Fall Conference, participants can be asked to get themselves to these strategic stops.  If you are from an isolated area, there are other options so that you can attend conference.  If you have any questions or concerns or you someone from one of these isolated areas, please contact us.

Each fall conference we have elections to choose new council members. The council members are the ones running the show. If you would like to help out, speak to us and we'll tell you everything you need to know. You will also be told everything you need during fall conference. If you’re not interested in council or don’t get elected, contact us, there are many things you can do to help!

Our council has an adult mentor and a clergy representative. At conferences we have a number of chaperones who are older than 25 who assist in running the conference. These people are typically parents of participants, youth leaders and members of various churches.

Our events aim to create an environment that encourages friendship. Many people meet lifelong friends at our events. We do not discourage interaction of any kind so long as it is at a friendship level. Physical intimacy is kept to a minimum but is not barred altogether. Determining what is appropriate is done on a case by case basis.

If the cost of the event is difficult for you, please contact us at bcyaym@gmail.com . We have a limited number of bursaries available for individuals who need them.

Anglicanism is a denomination of Christianity. Everyone is welcome at our events, regardless of religion, denomination, belief or sexual orientation, we will not seek to make you feel uncomfortable in any way.  We cater to all levels of experience with Anglicanism and the church.  However, we are fundamentally a Christian/Anglican organization, and therefore participants must be aware that that will be a part of our events, for example religious services and themes.
